Challenges / Solutions
Restricted working space as the adjoining properties were occupied.
Managing and coordinating the deliveries to a site with an extremely narrow approach road (as the photo above)
Working around live utilities required careful planning for the underpinning operation.
There was little storage space, so materials were called off on a ‘just in time’ basis. We have arranged for a ‘waiting areas’ away from the site until we called the driver to arrive for offloading.
The removal of the damaged brickwork façade was a slow and delicate operation so as not to cause any structural impact on the adjoining property.
We had to replace the roof and some of the windows.
Our Site Manager met with the residents and continued to communicate our programme via regular newsletters and continual discussion throughout the life of the contract
