THE PROJECT
The contract demolished disused garages and delivered nine social-rented houses with associated external works across three separate infill sites.
CONSIDERED CHOICES
The homes use air-source heat pumps, photovoltaic roof tiles and insulation around 10% better than Building Regulations.
Concrete from garage hardstandings was crushed and reused as fill and scaffold hardcore. Soakaways and local purchasing further reduced environmental impact.
PROJECT DELIVERY
One coordinated logistics strategy controlled three small sites. Licensed specialists removed asbestos-containing materials and just-in-time deliveries addressed limited storage.
Raised site levels, ramps and steps responded to flood risk and accessibility. Linden Way required small vehicles through a narrow route behind shops, while sustained resident engagement reduced disruption.
